Hot Topics: Sober vs Somber

The real issue is not whether one drinks alcohol but whether their life has a sober quality to it. Many scriptures admonish us to be sober but we are never, in my opinion, asked to be somber. I have familial life experience with alcohol abuse, have my own personal convictions about alcohol in the life of a Christian but believe the choice is still up to the individual. With that said, one still has to take into consideration offending the conscience of a weaker brother or sister. 08.09.2009
