We need the presence of God in our lives. As we look through scripture, we see the importance of His presence from the beginning in Genesis, to the Exodus, to the Psalms, and so on. In our busy day to day lives, how much room do we make for the reality of His constant presence?

God’s promise is that you will not be tempted more than you can bear and that he will be faithful in providing a way out when we are tempted, but we need to choose to look for it and act on it. We see that unchecked strength is double weakness and that standing apart in Christ is not necessarily standing up and looking down on others. We need to look out and keep our confidence in check or else, we’ll fall.

Summer is often a time to take a break, but we need to look out that we are not taking a break from spending time with God. Though we are free, the “when” and “how” we choose to express our freedom can cause our brothers and sisters to stumble.
